13 years is a very long time in the career for a creative designer. Multiple clients, multiple mock-ups and prototypes, expired domains, business clousers and portablity of data from 2002 to 2015.

I still remember delivering websites on a 3.5' floppy drive to some of my initial clients.

The Task

The project task was to create a locative media based mobile app which encourages users to share their hope, dreams and personal information with others using the same application on their mobile devices.

A process involving ideas synthesis to user research and scenario analysis was taken to provide the best user experience in terms of Interaction Design and Information Architecture to the end user..

Court Barn Museum

The Task

As part of the Community Action and Knowledge Exchange (CAKE) initiative from the University of the West of England, Chipping Campdon based Court Barn Museum were chosen as a client for Consultancy Project.

The project's aims were to enhance the visual appeal of the website in sync with their real world appeal and brand identity. The project process focused on a complete by-the-book user centric web design process to generate the outcome.

Strawberry Vibes

The Task

The previous website for www.strawberryvibes.com required a redesign and a content management system with a blog management plug-in. The West Sussex based fitness club also wanted to integrate their ever expending social media base with a lot of open contact points for the visitors.

The site uses Wufoo forms to keep track of previous user contact records and a neat user experience.

The Champagne Cellar

The Task

The website for www.champagne-cellar.co.uk is part of the house of Park Lane Champagne, East Greenstead, Surrey. The business allows customers to order best quality champagne and wine bottles with customisable lables of their own.

It was all about upgrading the UI for the existing website in a way that it appeals to more customers, keeping the base functionality intact for the current customers.

SouthCrete is a fictional business operated by a group of businessmen from the South part of the island of Crete in Greece. The business provides low-cost, eco-friendly tourism for everyone.

Dee's Tees - Custom Shopping Cart & RESTful Payment Processing

The Task

The Dee's website was built completely in core PHP with custom shopping cart development, RESTful payment processing, visitor registration and site search functionality.

The site primarily demonstrates the understanding of PHP, MySQL, Shopping cart business logic, security of payment transfers and card validation procedures using external APIs. In longer run it helps in the understanding of open sourced frameworks for the same purpouse such as OpenCart.

Sam Boyd's Custom Made Surfboards

The Task

Sam Boyad's custom made surfboards was an exercise in accuracy and command over HTML5, CSS3, XML based integrations and Fluid vs. Fixed layout methods in web design.

Pixel perfection and innovative coding solution formed the crux of this assignment with an open end to innovate and experiment with small widgets referred from latest W3C recommendations.

A Tale of 3 Cities - An XML/RSS Mash-up

The Task

A unique project with all the data related to twinned towns - Manchaster (UK), Los Angeles (USA) and Kanpur (India) is imported dynamically from various sources and data feeds across the internet.

A neat exercise in data, schemas and applicaiton involved integration of RSS and XML feeds using XSLT and configuration files to generate a comparitive website on the three cities.

Erewhon Action on Climate Change

The Task

Based in the fictional county of Erewhon, EACC is an active charitable organisation which is looking to spread the word about climate change by using social media and website as prime platform. The project was to create a website encouraging people to join as volunteers and sign-up for newsletters.

In the given context, information design and visual appeal was the prime focus of this website.

This small assignment was just a warm-up exercise in DIV based layouts in my first year at the University of the West of England.

The primary objective was to understand the requirement of the website and develop an inter-linked collection of pages with a contact form, gallery and some social media features to go with.

This was another small assignment with primary goal to explore the extensability of HTML5 with least use of images and core dependency on CSS3.

The Task

A start-up wanted to create a business front website to promote their procurement application in specific markets and domains.

The prime task was to design, manage the developent of custom-CMS & white-paper designs, maintain the containts, collaborate with marketing teams and optimise the website for search engines.

Usability & Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Portfolio

MyUWEKiosk: Touch Screen Kiosk User Experience Design

The Task

It was a large scale project to design touch screen kiosks to be placed around the university campus for students, staff and visitors.

The Methods

It started with research and review of existing kiosks across the city centre of Bristol. Based on the findings, observation data and research, paper prototypes were created to simplify and include all the target users. A priliminary user-testing was done on paper prototypes to eleminate any possible usability issues. The deliverable Hi-Fi prototypes were then created and deliverd after one more round of usability testing to ensure the user responses.

Usability Testing for UWE.ac.uk

The Task

The task was to study the website of the University of the West of England, identifying a few critical services offered for students and testing them against a sample target audiance of international post-graduate students.

The Methods

The process adopted for the whole exercise was methodical with one user, one facilitator and two observers to take notes. I played the role of the facilitator, constantly encouraging the user(s) to think aloud try to complete the task and later document the whole exercise.

PACT Analysis for Self-Checkout Systems

The Task

This task was to do a People, Activities, Context and Technology (PACT) analysis for the possibility of a self-checkout system at a busy cafeteria.

Methods

First and second person interviews, first person experience, observations and mindmapping the whole expercise based on the sub-topics in the PACT analysis chart.
